Inedo began attending industry-specific conferences beginning in Q4 of 2018, and have so far attended over 12 conferences in the last 8 months. I was tasked with designing the Banners and accompanying conference materials to align with Inedo's current brand.
In order to compete with Inedo's peers in the industry, the conference presence needs to display our brand, and create a quick positive impression on conference attendees.
This involves pull-up banners for Inedo's tools, a branded table runner, and conference marcom.
An inviting booth presence that encourages conference attendees to come talk to the Inedo staff and stick in their mind when they go through their conference swag.
This can be measured by the percentage of attendee's who stop by the booth, and the amount of high-quality leads acquired at conferences.
For Inedo's first conference I kept the design pretty simple, and based the banners on different elements of the website, so that attendees familiar with Inedo would recognize the brand, and those new to Inedo, would find familiarity when they visited Inedo's website to learn more.
The table runner included all of Inedo's tool logos, and the banners were for the BuildMaster tool and the Otter tool.
As Inedo expanded their conference presence, a ProGet banner was added, as well as a larger tv to display demos for Otter and BuildMaster.
The ProGet banner was designed to draw more people in, as it is Inedo's most popular tool, and attendees are more likely to be familiar with it. I limited the text on this banner, and chose to represent ProGet's capabilities visually. I kept consistency throughout the tool banners with the arrow shape at the top and bottom, which made it obvious they were part of the same tool suite.
Inedo added a CI/CD white paper to their conference marcom, and wanted a banner to draw people in so the Inedo staff could talk to attendees and gauge their interest in the CI/CD realm of DevOps.
I kept the text simple and to the point, allowing attendees to easily read it from a distance. Keeping the same hexagonal pattern from the whitepaper cover I had already designed, I used the bright orange and purple to draw them in. An ad had been placed in the conference welcome kit that had the same hexagonal pattern on it, so the banner was easily recognizable to attendees as something they had already seen.
Inedo wanted a new table runner in 2019 that stood out against the royal blue table drape a little bit more than the original. You can see a side by side of the old table runner compared to the new one below. I wanted to stick with the hexagonal pattern based off of Inedo's tool icons, but move more towards focusing on the main branding color palette to keep it cohesive.

Inedo also wanted the accompanying sell sheets to represent the brand and tool colors.
